     Herman Wald was a dental technician, he began work at an early age and eventually ran a successful business, living at times in New York, Cleveland and San Francisco. He later established and taught vocational courses at universities in New York and elsewhere.
He was also known as Herman Harold. He was born on 1 January 1898 41 Barton Street, Boston, Suffolk Co, MA; Official birth certificate is said to give name as Herman Wald. He married Dorothy Sherover, daughter of Moris Sherower and Malie (Amalia) Hofstadter, circa 1917. Herman Wald married Cywie (Violet) Erdman, daughter of Meyer (Max) Erdman and Blima (Bertha) Bader, on 16 April 1933 Union City, Hudson Co, NJ. Herman Wald and Dorothy Sherover were divorced in 1936 NY; after an earlier divorce in New Jersey to avoid cost of arranging a correspondent under current New York divorce Law. Herman Wald died on 12 December 1985 St. Vincent's Hospital, Greenwich Village, New York, NY, at age 87. He was buried Beth Moses Cemetery, Pinelawn, Long Island, Suffolk Co, NY.

     Hersz Jozef Wald was listed as a barber-surgeon on the birth record of his daughter, Sura, in 1895.

He was also known as Josef. He was born Jezowe, Nisko District, Galicia, Austria. He married Wosza Goldstein, daughter of Berl Goldstein, circa 1875; based on the 1876 birth of their first son, Jakob. They had 10 or more children: including Jacob (qv), Ksyl, Leija, Duene, Chaje, Dora (qv), Benjamin (qv), Chajem, Sura (qv), Markus (qv).. Hersz Jozef Wald died after 1912 Galicia, Austria.

     M. L. Walker was born circa 1863 TN; age shown as 17 yrs at 1880 census. She and John Eldridge Wall were divorced before 1882; assuming the marriage was valid. No record of actual marriage or divorce has been seen.

     Matilda Walker married Rev. Thomas Chase, son of Samuel Chase. Matilda Walker died circa 1741 MD.
