This tombstone was badly eroded and mostly unreadable on our visit in Nov 2005.

William A. Walley died on 11 April 1920 Walley homestead, Aux Sable, Grundy Co, IL, at age 77. He was buried Aux Sable Cemetery, Aux Sable Twp., Grundy Co, IL.

     William Cryder Walley was born on 18 November 1879. He married Helen Todd on 25 May 1910. William Cryder Walley survived Helen Todd on 6 October 1925. William Cryder Walley died on 14 December 1944 at age 65. He was buried Aux Sable Cemetery, Aux Sable Twp., Grundy Co, IL.

     William Edgar Walley was born circa 1855 OH; age stated as 5 yrs at 1860 census, 15 yrs at 1870 census. He died nr. Decatur, Wise Co, TX; accidentally shot by a young boy who mistook him at night for a Comanchee indian.

     Zachariah Walley was born on 1 November 1807 Conococheague Hundred, Washington Co, MD. He was christened on 27 August 1808 St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hagerstown, Washington Co, MD. He and Conrad Wallick relocated from Washington Co MD to Zanesville OH, according to a local (Aux Sable IL) history of the Zachariah Walley family. circa 1811. Zachariah Walley relocated from Zanesville area to Delaware Co OH on the Scioto River (year estimated by KE based on other dates). circa 1828. He married Catherine Ann Cryder, daughter of Henry Cryder, on 22 September 1831 Delaware Co, OH. Zachariah Walley relocated from Delaware Co OH to Aux Sable IL in a three family wagon caravan with the Cryder and Tabler families, following a compass course and arriving late October and wintering in a communal log shelter which they built near a good spring. Altogether the three families had 8 oxen, several horses and 15 cows. These were apparently the first white settlers on this spot, which was much used by the Pottawatomie Indians. in September 1833. He survived Catherine Ann Cryder on 4 February 1849 Grundy Co, IL. Zachariah Walley married Eunice Louisa Warren, daughter of Daniel Warren and Sarah Lord, on 6 February 1851 Nelson, Madison Co, IL. Zachariah Walley died on 5 August 1887 Grundy Co, IL, at age 79. He was buried Aux Sable Cemetery, Grundy Co, IL.

Bowman, son of George Washington Bowman and Eleanor Young; This William C. Bowman is likely the William C. shown in the Montgomery County Equity Record as the husband of Annie.

     Audrey Aileen Wallich was born on 24 November 1902 Howard Co, MD. She married Clarence Turner Bond, son of Clarence Bond and Elizabeth Lee Turner, on 5 January 1924. Audrey Aileen Wallich died on 12 February 1987 at age 84. She was buried Union Cemetery, Burtonsville, Montgomery Co, MD.

     Basil Crawford Wallich was Basil was Supt. of the Capital Traction Co. car barn by the Navy Yard. Later (1930) he worked as a taxi driver. He lived (1930) on Potomac Ave SE, Washington DC. He died on the job, in his taxi, at corner of 15th & Penna. Ave.

He was born on 26 December 1869. He married Martha Jane T. Bennett, daughter of Richard Henry Bennett and Savilla Miller, circa 1893; shown as married seven years at 1900 census. Basil Crawford Wallich died on 13 May 1931 Washington, DC, at age 61. He was buried on 16 May 1931 Cedar Hill Cemetery, Suitland, Prince George's Co, MD; listed in plat book, Cedar Hill Cemetery in plot 9-29-2.
