     Elizabeth Clack was born circa 1753 Brunswick Co, VA. She married Benjamin Turner in April 1791.

     Elizabeth H. Clack was often called Betsy. She was born on 19 August 1818 Warren Co, NC. She married Thomas Meredith Thweatt Wall, son of Thomas Meredith Wall and Elizabeth Hardaway Short, on 22 March 1837 Warren Co, NC. Elizabeth H. Clack died on 8 February 1863 DeKalb Co, TN, at age 44. NOTE: Elizabeth -may- have been a child of William E. Clack (brother of Thomas Clack) and Rebecca James, or she may only have been raised by her uncle and aunt. Certainly, William E. Cla(r)ck appeared as an elderly man, living in Elizabeth's household in the 1850 census, Carroll Co Tennessee. See the note regarding Elizabeth's parents.

     Rev. James Clack was rector of Ware Parish, Gloucester County Virginia, for about 45 years from 1689 to his death in 1723.

He was born circa 1655 Marden Parish, Wiltshire, England. He married Mary Rivers circa 1675 England. Rev. James Clack immigrated circa 1678. He married Jane (?) VA; she has not been identified but is thought to have been the daughter of an influential Virginia family. Their sons and grandchildren apparently were well educated, married advantageously, and active in affairs of the colony. Rev. James Clack died on 20 December 1723 Ware Parish, Gloucester Co, VA. He was buried Ware Church, Gloucester Co, VA; Rev. James' tomb is a rectangular brick box-like structure rising perhaps a bit less than three feet above the ground, probably not more than five feet beyond the church wall behind the chancel.

     James Clack III was born in 1727 Gloucester Co, VA. They had children: candidates: Spencer (according to Harllee), Moses (according to some researchers).. He married Agnes Bolling circa 1752 Gloucester Co, VA. James Clack III died before February 1792.
