     Alexander Wadden Fisher was a YMCA Physical Director and Secretary over a period of 40 years, A. W. served in a number of "Y" locations throughout the eastern and central states; including Galveston, Texas; Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Columbia, South Carolina and Knoxville, Tennessee. During the years of World War I he was attached to the US Military in Europe with the functional or honorary rank of Colonel. Following the war he represented the YMCA in several recovering European countries including France, Poland and Rumania. After the European tours he served the "Y" in West Virginia and Ohio. After retiring from the YMCA in 1932 he directed a Methodist Episcopal summer camp in Pennsylvania for more than ten years and enjoyed winters in St. Petersburg, Florida where he was active in church choir and many other civic activities.

He was born on 2 September 1872 Dundas, Rice Co, MN; noted as 7 years of age in 1880 census, 27 years of age in 1900 census. He married Edith Avanelle Cole, daughter of John Wesley Cole and Annie Rebecca Badger, on 28 September 1893 Lincoln, Lancaster Co, NE. Alexander Wadden Fisher survived Edith Avanelle Cole on 20 July 1954 St Petersburg, Pinellas Co, FL; Death info from obit notice and church program. Alexander Wadden Fisher died on 19 March 1964 St Petersburg, Pinellas Co, FL, at age 91. He was buried Memorial Park, St Petersburg, Pinellas Co, FL; Lots 33 and 34, block 1, section 7, division H (Pine Lawn).

     Barbara Ann Fisher was a graduate of Radford College in Virginia with post graduate study at the University of Maryland. Barbara served as a Girl Scout executive, later as a school teacher and finally an accountant, analyst and mid-level executive at the Internal Revenue Service, US Department of the Treasury.

Barbara was a lifelong supporter of scouting and hosteling, both as a participant and leader. Her interests included wilderness backpacking, canoeing and sailing, fabric arts and folk dance. She strongly believed in civic responsibility and volunteered in many capacities; promoting home rule, environmental concerns, anti-war and women's rights issues and literacy.

She was the principal author of ALL PEOPLE, a six volume compilation of family history for the Edler, Fisher, Wald, Simmons and Souweine families. Printed copies were donated to a number of local libraries and the US Library of Congress, LOCN 2006366365. An online version is located at http://edlers.org/AP/aptitl.pdf .

She is sometimes called Bah. She was born on 5 August 1930 Protestant Hospital, Nashville, Davidson Co, TN. She was christened in 1942 Arlington Co, VA. She died on 18 October 2010 Collington Episcopal Life Care Community, Mitchellville, Prince George's Co, MD, at age 80; Peacefully at 7:15 pm, following a six month fight against pancreatic cancer.

     Claire Cole Fisher was an instructor at Tennessee Tech and Cornell Universities, surveyor and Civil Engineer in Tennessee and Rhode Island public works. Later during the WW2 years he was a logistics director for Army construction and supply. It was said that he signed the early plans for construction of the Pentagton Building -- the largest such project taken at that time. He ended his federal career as Director of Defense Department Surplus Disposal. Toward the end of his life he made use of expertise from his life-long hobby interest in precanceled stamps as a consultant at the Smithsonian Institution.

He was often called Bud by his friends. He was born on 20 February 1897 Lincoln, Lancaster Co, NE; noted as 3 years of age in 1900 census. He married Johnnie Epperson Wall, daughter of John Eldridge Wall and Mary Jane Breckenridge Pickard, on 14 July 1923 Cookeville, Putnam Co, TN. Claire Cole Fisher died on 1 February 1966 Arlington County Hospital, Arlington Co, VA, at age 68; Heart attack. He was buried on 4 February 1966 Allgood Cemetery, Algood, Putnam Co, TN.

She died on 5 April 1910 De Graff, Logan Co, OH, at age 2; Illness apparently brought on by sitting down hard on the floor, possibly on a plaything, causing spinal injury. She lived several days in great pain but died peacefully about 6 am on Tuesday, 5 April 1910.
